Plaid Is The New Black?

Okay, so maybe that title isn’t exactly true. I don’t think that any pattern or color will ever replace black, but nevertheless, plaid is super “in” this fall season. I wore this outfit on an absolutely beautiful day. It was over 70 degrees, which is pretty much unheard of for this time of year. Rather than wear shorts or a skirt that would expose my ghostly pale legs (they haven’t seen daylight all month) I paired this skirt with black tights. This outfit was cute, yet comfy to wear all day to class.

My favorite part of this outfit though is the Chloe Susanna boots. They are my new love. I first spotted them on Kourtney Kardashian, who is the queen of shoes. I pretty much drooled over them, and just HAD to have them. They’re expensive, but great quality, beautiful, and will be worn for years to come.

Date Night Fashion

September 14th was the two year anniversary of when my boyfriend and I started dating. We went to Pittsburgh for a nice dinner and ice cream. I love to get dressed up but there aren’t many occasions where I can actually wear nice clothes. Who doesn’t love date nights?! They’re lovely.

Welcoming Autumn Back With Black

Today was unfortunately the first day of September that has officially felt like Fall. Goodbye summer. Out with the old wardrobe, in with the new.

My class schedule is awesome this semester. I don’t have class Mondays or Fridays, so I enjoyed the morning by sleeping in as late as I wanted, eating a late lunch, and then visiting my office where I am now. I have a lot of work to do before my weekend getaway to Pittsburgh tomorrow!

When opening my closet, I was looking for something for a mild Autumn day like this. Some girls on campus were wearing shorts, but I am SO done with them now that my tan is gone and my legs reflect light.

After years of reading fashion blogs, I thought it would be fun to start one myself. So, here goes my first post.  I am working two internships this summer.  I rotate between working at a radio station and a local newspaper every other day.  Although both jobs are fairly casual, I enjoy dressing up.  This is the outfit I wore to the newspaper internship today, but I’m not going to lie… I did not wear these beautiful wedges.  Nope! Being a tall girl already, I have to be cautious about my footwear. Wearing any decent pair of heels makes me above 6 feet, therefore I tower over the general population.  That’s not a great idea when trying to inconspicuously take videos at events, you know?!

Today’s outfit utilized a new top I purchased from Sak’s.  (Tip for bargain seekers: You get 10% off your first Sak’s purchase when you provide an email, AND if you have a Discover card, you can get 10% cash back when shopping there online!)

White blouses are hot this summer.  They can be paired with shorts, skirts, or pants. They can be dressed up or dressed down. Every lady needs one! I may or may not have 5 others sitting in my closet.

Anyway, I hope you liked my first post and I am looking forward for many more posts to come!
